The help pages for the Online Timesheet System are organized into various sections, primarily based on the roles a person may have while using the Online Timesheet System. The different sections can be accessed below.

Features

The Online Timesheet System, designed by the College of Letters & Science Deans' Office has the following features:

To use the Online Timesheet System you will need to know your UC Davis login ID and Kerberos password. Additionally, your department's Timesheet Manager (usually your department's PPS or payroll person) will need to have set you up to use the Online Timesheet System.

Timesheet Employee/Supervisor Flowchart

The following PDF file is a simple one page flowchart indicating the way a timesheet is routed through the Online Timesheet System up until the point it reaches the Timesheet Manager. It is an overview only and specifically does not include the processing that takes place after a timesheet has been approved by the Supervisor.

System and Web Browser Requirements

Employees must have a valid UCD Login ID and Kerberos password to use the Online Timesheet System. The Online Timesheet System does not require any software to be installed to your system. It is accessed using a standard web browser.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter a problem while using the Online Timesheet System, please follow the below steps:

  1. Try one more time and see if the error happens again.
  2. If the error does happen again, send an email to Technical Support and include as much of the following information as possible:
    • A brief description of what you were trying to do and the problem you encountered (i.e. Did nothing happen?, Did the page crash?, etc)
    • The last step that you took that worked
    • What caused the problem (i.e. clicking on a specific link or button)
    • Any error message that appeared
    • What web browser you were using (i.e. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc)
    • Which operating system you were using (i.e. Windows XP, Linux, Mac OS 9, Mac OS X, etc)
    • Contact information such as your email address or phone number

If you cannot include all of the above information that is okay, just include as much as you know. This information will help us diagnose and correct the problem as quickly as possible.
